You are, by far, your harshest critic. You second guess everything you say and do. You lie awake at night, ruminating about what you “could” have said or “should” have done differently. You feel like everyone else has their life together, but you’re still struggling to figure things out.
You worry about…
What other people think of you.
Saying the wrong things.
Embarrassing yourself in front of others.
Making the wrong choices.
Letting everyone down.
Not belonging anywhere.
“The authentic self is the soul made visible.”
– Sarah Ban Breathnach
Your anxiety is getting in the way of your relationships, your work, and doing the things you want to do in life. Your self-doubt is preventing you from letting people in and being the real you. The non-stop stress of it all is physically and mentally exhausting, and some days it feels like anxiety is ruling your life.
You’re sick of feeling so worried, anxious, and on-guard all the time. For once, you’d like to wake up without your heart racing or your stomach tied up in knots.
You want to feel calmer, be more at ease with others, and to stop beating yourself up over every little mistake or misstep.
You want to be kinder to yourself, and accept yourself for the amazing, caring person you are. You want to finally be able to just be yourself.
You don’t have to be all alone, consumed by your anxiety and self-criticism. I’m here to listen and support you. In counseling, we’ll work together on identifying those triggers and beliefs that make you doubt yourself, get anxious, and feel out of control.
I’ll support you and help you…
Notice and interrupt unhealthy thought patterns.
Decrease your negative self-talk.
Improve your coping strategies.
Increase your self-care.
